At first look, the renovation of this corridor area for a public event venue would seem simple enough. However, transforming the feel from dark, dingy, confined, and dated would demand several customized solutions.

Successful updates to the space would require finding a balance between the design of the corridor itself and the various design aesthetics of the rooms to which it lead. Included among the other challenges was integrating HVAC supply vents in a decorative manner and solving the need for subtle-but-effective way-finding signage. Additionally, in balancing the venue's classical style, refined materials and elegant finishes were needed. Furthering the complications was a need to employ materials that would withstand moisture and temperature changes of this below-grade area.

Completion of this project delivered a lighter, brighter, more open-feeling space that also provided a more refined aesthetic. Functional needs of easy cleaning, moisture tolerance, and HVAC integration were also fully delivered upon without comprised to the look and feel of the space.

The Corridor in the main suites was also an important changeover from the old feel of the shining. Worked endlessly on solutions for ceiling transitions and coffering and found ways to decoratively integrate supply vents and way-finding signage.
